THE STARS LOOK VERY DIFFERENT TODAY (prague)

There was some guy doing a really great cover of Space Oddity by David Bowie in the old downtown area of Prague.

I was walking to my school building when I heard it and I got completely lost trying to find him and thought I might have been imagining it or something but I found him in a tiny street and we chatted and it was amazing.

VONNIE AT THE OPERA (prague)

Warning: cell phone picture. My bulky camera didn’t go with my fancy opera outfit.

I saw Don Giovanni in the Estates Theater (where it first premiered, so cool!) and it was gorgeous and weirdly post-modern and I can cross “opera” off my Europe list.

The theater was absolutely stunning. And very tall. I wouldn’t recommend seats in the grand circles are if you’re afraid of heights. But you get a great view of the ceiling.

MUCHA EXHIBIT (prague)

Visited the Prague City Gallery with my Czech language class to see this awesome exhibition of Alfons Mucha. I could have stayed at that museum for hours. I mean, I stayed for like 2 or more I think but still. Art Nouveau is definitely one of my favorites and it was super cool to see the work of such a famous artist in the same city that he came from.

I feel like everything in Prague is art. I’m just surrounded by history and pretty pretty buildings and I’m loving it so much.
